9CL-70111-Multi-Purpose Cooling System Test Kit

•  Universal Kit combines major tests performed in the cooling system by disconnecting upper hose clamps only:
  •  Pressure test
  •  Temperature sensor test
  •  Water pump
  •  Thermostat
  •  Cooling fan condition
•  Includes displaying devices (e.g. digital LCD, glass screen and gauge) for easier temperature reading and coolant flow observations.

Installation

1.  Disconnect the radiator upper hose.
2.  Connect the step adapters to the coolant flow pipe.
3.  Connect rubber pipes to the upper hose and radiator with hose clamps, and then insert the coolant flow pipe in between.
4.  Connect the digital test device onto the coolant flow pipe.

Instructions

•  Cooling system pressure test
  •  Connect the pressure pump tester to the digital device and pump the pressure to 10-15 psi to see if the gauge reading is falling.
  •  Press pressure release button before disconnecting the pressure pump tester.
•  Temperature sensor test
  •  Start the engine and turn on the digital device. The digital device then tells coolant temperature. Check if the temperature sensor on the   dashboard works normally.
•  Thermostat
  •  When the coolant reaches to the specified thermostat opening temperature (refer to auto manufacturing manual), check if the coolant flow   increases.
•  Cooling fan
  •  When the coolant reaches to the specified cooling fan activation temperature (refer to auto manufacturing manual), check if the cooling fan is   activated on time.
•  Water pump
  •  Check if the coolant flow and pressure increases or decreases by comparing idle speed to increased RPM.
